THURSDAY - JULY 3RD

Summer Reading Kick-Off: All-Ages Tie Dye @ Laconia Public Library @ 2PM - 3PM
It's a tie-dye extravaganza! We'll provide all the materials you'll need to create a vibrant work of art. This program is for all ages and will be held in the Library Garden. In case of rain, the event will be held inside.
Food Truck Festival & Fireworks @ Ashland Ballpark @ 4PM - 930PM
Includes games and activities, plus a concert featuring Chris White, The Beagles, and Red Daisy Revival.
Cruise Night @ Tilt’n Diner @ 5PM - 7PM
With toe-tappin’ tunes and timeless comfort food like Baked Shepherd’s Pie and White Mountain Meatloaf, Tilt’n Diner has something for everyone—plus classic frappes, flavored Cokes, and homemade pies you won’t want to miss!

Family’s that order from the food truck, pizza wagon or bar receive free entry for their kids into the supervised funpark.
Lee Sykes @ The Taphouse @ 6PM - 9PM
Lee plays acoustic guitar and accompanies most of his songs, fingerstyle which can be piano-like in complexity. This gives a very full sound which has enabled him to successfully pursue a solo career.

Bring a chair and enjoy music by the lake! In the event of inclement weather, decisions to cancel will be announced by 2:00pm on the Parks and Recreation Facebook Page and Town website calendar. Fireworks after the show!
Thursday Night Trivia @ Hart’s Turkey Farm @ 7PM - 9PM
Get ready for a high-energy night of DJ-led team trivia—packed with classic questions, picture puzzles, music rounds, and brain-teasing challenges. Prizes go to the top teams!

Foot Races @ Center Harbor Municipal Building @ 715AM - 930AM
Center Harbor Parks and Recreation announces the 45th Annual Center Harbor Footraces, including the "Baby Crawl", "Kids Races", "1.776 Mile" and "5 Mile" races. Automatic timing will be provided by Granite State Racing Services. You will be able to get your race results on your phone in minutes. Enjoy the 4th of July Footrace and other activities including the Parade, Concert at the Bandstand and Fireworks!
Ordination Rock Run 5k @ Tamworth @ 8AM
Tamworth’s Ordination Rock Run is a fun, family-oriented local Independence Day tradition. Highlighting Ordination Rock, the race commemorates the historical boulder that served as the site of Samuel Hidden’s ordination in 1792.
Newfound Firecracker 5K @ Bristol @ 830AM - 11AM
The 12th Annual Newfound Firecracker 5K is a fun run (not a timed event) hosted by the Newfound Cross Country Program. Proceeds go to support the program.
Fourth of July Parade & Fireworks @ Wolfeboro @ 10AM - 1PM
Main Street and all adjacent side streets will be closed at 9am until the parade concludes so get your viewing spot early!
4th of July Parade @ Moultonborough @ 11AM
The parade will line up at 10:15am on Blake Road, and will kick off at 11am on Friday July 4. The parade route travels Route 25 & concludes at the Moultonborough Function Hall 139 Old Route 109 with a free community BBQ & trophy presentation.
Family Carnival @ Packard’s Field @ 11AM - 3PM
An annual favorite! This year’s carnival will be bigger and better than ever! Join Waterville Valley Recreation Department on Packards Field for inflatables, music, relay races, dunk tank, tie dye, mini-golf and more! Stop by Tartaglia’s food truck for something good! This event is held rain or shine.

Laconia’s 2025 Independence Day Parade will kick off the activities for the 4th of July in Laconia. The parade route will begin at the Laconia High School to Church Street to North Main Street and end at Opechee Park.

Tractor Tour: Life in the Fields @ Prescott Farm @ 9AM - 11AM
Climb up and relax on our tractor-pulled wagon ride, as you embark on a guided, natural history tour of our meadows. Watch for hawks and songbirds soaring overhead. Learn how animals such as deer, bears, songbirds, and turkeys depend on our open fields for food and shelter.
Saturday Hike: Brook Walk @ Castle in the Clouds @ 9AM - 1130AM
Led by an experienced volunteer hiker, this week’s hike is the Oak Ridge Trail. This hike is rated as moderate, is about 2.3 miles and has an elevation climb of approximately 300′.

Introduction to Sprint Canoeing @ Squam Lake @ 10AM - 1130AM
Popularized in Canada, the sport of sprint canoeing made its first appearance in the 1924 Olympics as a demonstration sport. By 1936, the canoe sprint became a full medal sport. The sprint canoe is a narrow boat that allows the paddler, or team of paddlers, to cut through the water at great speeds. It requires balance and technique, but anyone with determination and drive can learn to participate.
