THURSDAY - JULY 10TH

Artist Reception: Celebrating Ann Xavier @ NH Boat Museum @ 530PM - 7PM

Saturday Hike @ Bridle Path and Turtleback Mountain Trail @ 9AM - 1130AM
Led by an experienced volunteer hiker, this week’s hike is the Bridle Path and Turtleback Mountain trails. This is a moderate level hike that is about 2.5 miles and has an elevation climb of approximately 403′.

Tilton Parks Commission Loon Presentation @ Riverfront Park @ 11AM - 12PM
For many, the haunting call of the loon is an important part of the New Hampshire lake experience. Often seen as a symbol of the northern wilderness, loons are a beloved fixture on New Hampshire lakes, and many lakegoers enjoy watching them as they raise their young. However, the breeding season can be a vulnerable time for loons—they face many threats, both natural and human-caused, while on our lakes. .

Herb-Infused & Creamed Honey @ Prescott Farm @ 1PM - 330PM
Honey is an incredible, natural sweetener with many health benefits over other sweeteners. In this workshop, participants will learn the benefits of using honey and the different varieties. Participants will then take honey from Prescott Farm's beehives and infuse it with fragrant herbs and spices, as well as make some creamed honey to take home.

Sparkly Tube-Set Earrings with Joy Raskin @ Meredith Fine Craft Gallery @ 9AM - 4PM
Students will make one or two pairs of earrings using sparkly faceted gemstones set in sterling silver tube bezels. Students can make a pair of 5mm or 6mm tube-set stud earrings with posts, and a pair of dangle earrings that have 1 or 2 or even 3 sparkly gems set.

Animal Encounter Series: Critter Communities @ Waterville Valley @ 10AM - 11AM
Join us in Town Square for the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center Animal Encounter Series! Live animal presentations will be shown by expert naturalists. Native wildlife ambassadors will inform and inspire children, adults, and families alike.

Solar Gazing @ Castle in the Clouds @ 11AM - 4PM
Break the rules (safely) and look at the sun—through a hydrogen-alpha telescope! Every Sunday, NH Astronomical Society members set up by Shannon Pond. Stop by to chat with astronomers, learn about the sun, and take a peek through their high-powered scopes.

Meredith was first called "Palmer's Town." This was to honor Samuel Palmer. He was a teacher who helped map out the land around Lake Winnipesaukee.
